Message from the Vice Chancellor
Today, I am pleased to share ILMA University’s significant achievements in aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2023. As Vice Chancellor, I am continually inspired by the unwavering dedication of our university community, which has been instrumental in driving meaningful change.
Our commitment to the SDGs reflects our core values and vision for a sustainable, equitable future. In 2023, we launched targeted mentorship programs and scholarship initiatives for first-generation women, empowering them with the support needed to excel academically and professionally. Our need-based scholarships and inclusive programs have effectively dismantled barriers to education, ensuring broader access for underrepresented students.
To combat hunger, we organized campus food drives and partnered with local food banks, providing nutritious meals to students in need. Our commitment to health and well-being is evident through wellness workshops, mental health support services, and regular health screenings, all designed to foster a thriving community.
In line with our commitment to climate action, we conducted tree-planting drives, launched recycling initiatives, and organized climate education workshops to raise awareness about environmental stewardship.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of our university—students, faculty, staff, and partners—whose relentless pursuit of these global goals inspires us to achieve excellence.
As we move forward, let us reaffirm our dedication to the SDGs, integrating them into our curricula, research, and community engagement efforts. Together, we can drive transformative change and create a brighter, more sustainable future for our community, nation, and the world.
